atsc LAPSED ACCREDITATION
If your accreditation has lapsed and you want to renew
We will help you “get up to speed” to make this process as smooth as possible.
- Email the MetSEA ATSC Convenor, detailing what qualifications you had
The MetSEA ATSC Convenor will advise you on what you will need to do next.
These are the guidelines for the ATSC Convenor:
- The returning Official must provide the ATSC with proof of a current Working With Children Check.
- Any points accumulated under NOAP during the four (4) years immediately prior to their return may be used to automatically reaccredit the Official, where evidence of the accumulation of sufficient points is available.
- Officials in this group should be encouraged to bring their knowledge up-to-date by completing appropriate modules in the SNSW online training courses, but this is not a mandatory part of the re-accreditation process.
- Where there is an insufficient accumulation of points in the previous four (4) years the process will be slightly different, depending on the level of accreditation being re-activated. Some will require only a refresher course, while others will involve both a refresher course and practical assessment.
- For Timekeeper, Chief Timekeeper, Check Starter, Clerk of the Course and Recorder, the Official to complete the SNSW online training module and present completed certificate to the ATSC.
- For Finish Judge, the Official to complete the SNSW Training Notes and exercises, and present to the ATSC. This accreditation to be brought in line with previous accreditations when SNSW online training for Finish Judge becomes available.
- For AOE Operator and Meet Manager Operator the Official will need to be assessed as ‘Competent’ during one (1) practical assessment at an Area meet, using the SAL Assessment document.
- For Starter, Inspector of Turns and Judge of Stroke, the Official to complete the appropriate SNSW online training module, present the completed certificate to ATSC and be assessed as ‘Competent’ following one (1) practical assessment at an Area meet, using the SAL Assessment document.
- For Referee, the Official to complete the SNSW online training modules for Inspector of Turns and Judge of Stroke, present the completed certificates to the ATSC and be assessed as ‘Competent’ following one (1) practical assessment at an Area meet, using the SAL Assessment document.
- Having the accreditation of Referee, Judge of Stroke, Inspector of Turns and Starter re-activated will not require completing the online training for any of the accreditations in the first group of accreditations.
- Once the ATSC is satisfied that the required criteria have been met, they will inform the SNSW Office where the Technical Official’s status will be changed from ‘Inactive’ to ‘Active in the database of SNSW Technical Officials.
