National Integrity Framework (NIF)
The NIF is a set of rules that all members of our sport need to follow when it comes to their behaviour and conduct in swimming including obligations to report misconduct. Those rules are contained in the following policies:
1. Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy.
Safeguarding including abuse (sexual, emotional, physical, neglect, exposure to family and domestic violence). Contact Sport Integrity Australia.
2. Member Protection Policy.
Member protection where complaints are based on characteristics including race, disability, sex, religion or age. Contact Sport Integrity Australia.
Member protection where complaints refer to abuse, bullying, harassment, sexual misconduct, victimisation, and vilification. Contact SwimAus.
3. Improper Use of Drugs and Medicine. Contact SwimAus.
4. Competition Manipulation & Sports Gambling Policy. Contact SwimAus.
5. Complaints, Disputes & Discipline Policy (CDDP)
6. Code of Conduct.
Breach of Code of conduct where complaints refer to role model behaviours for e.g use of social media, responsible use of alcohol. Contact SwimAus.
